RYAN BAXTER, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Ryan Baxter is chief operating officer for CSM Production, one of the nation's premier event and corporate meeting production companies serving major corporations and the professional sports and entertainment industries across the country.

Baxter joined CSM Production in 2003, bringing a wealth of experience and successful track record of work within the sports industry. Previously, he was a member of the athletic facilities and game operations department at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Baxter was also a graduate assistant in Marshall University’s athletic facilities and game operations department from 2000-2002.

The Weirton, West Virginia, native is a double graduate of Marshall University with a Master of Science in athletic administration and a Bachelor of Science in sports management and marketing. He resides in Huntersville with his wife Krisha, and children Sydney and Austin.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Stay Humble and Work Hard. Don’t Self Promote.

What’s one thing on your bucket list you’ve yet to accomplish?

Attend a Super Bowl in Person. I’ve been to several Super Bowls to work, but never into the actual game.

If you had a super power, what would you want it to be?

To be able to help people, more than I’m able to now.

What’s the most rewarding thing about working at CSM Production?

Watching our team succeed on the variety of events that we produce from start to finish.

If you were a baseball player, what would your “walk-up” song be?

The funny thing is, I didn’t think of one for myself, but my son Austin plays baseball and comes to the plate to Classic Man by Jidenna. I’ve got to roll with him on this one!

 

What is your cell phone background?

It’s a background from Marshall University with the number 75, honoring the 75 players who passed away in the plane crash.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Steak and Baked Potato. A medium-rare ribeye steak and potato with butter and sour cream.

You’re going to sail around the world. What is the name of your boat?

Raise The Jolly Roger. That’s the saying the Pittsburgh Pirates say when they win a game.

The Zombie Apocalypse is coming. Who are three people you want on your team to fight off the zombies.

I’ve never thought about this. I’m going to say my dad and two grandpas. They were all bad asses.

What’s your favorite sandwich?

A Steak and Cheese from Primanti Brothers in Pittsburgh. French fries and cole slaw on the sandwich.
