25 Years at The Great American Race

Each year since 1999, our team has managed the opening ceremonies for the Daytona 500, and 2023 was no different. 60 CSMP team members, along with nearly 40 vehicles, descended on Daytona International Speedway, which played host to a variable smorgasbord of pre-race activities. From the driver introductions, to flyover coordination, to production of a Dierks Bentley concert, all which took place on CSMP-designed and built stages, anywhere you turned during Daytona 500 weekend, you were likely to see the work of production.

At the 2023 Daytona 500, our experiential team created one of their largest activations to date. Measuring more than 200’ wide, the NASCAR experience, celebrating the 75th anniversary of NASCAR encapsulated multiple interactive elements, displays and live entertainment options. Guests had the opportunity to spin a prize wheel, custom-built by CSMP, or watch the production of Trackside Live or live recordings of the 2 Bears, 1 Cave Podcast or Barstool Sports’ Lowering The Bar. Be on the lookout for the NASCAR experience at multiple tracks this race season!

Our events team also had a number of responsibilities inside Daytona International Speedway for the Daytona 500. CSMP was responsible for the build out and management of Turn One Hospitality, nestled tightly in the first turn of Daytona’s signature tri-oval design. We also designed, built and managed the Comcast Business Hub, an area for NASCAR and its business partners to host meetings and clients during week of the Daytona 500. The Hub hosted a number of B2B meetings and conversations, setting the stage for an incredible season of partner collaboration for NASCAR in 2023.
