JHE Gives Back to Those in Need

October 05, 2012

Working together in a high-pressure, high-deliverable environment makes the JHE team more like a family, a family who stands together through good and bad times. Which is why the team decided to donate time and resources to the community that supports JHE in honor of the company’s 25th anniversary.

The yearlong “25 Days of Service” program is honoring the employees, who are the backbone of the business. Employees were asked to select nonprofit organizations close to their hearts for the entire team to support through unique programs.

Employees have gathered together to provide support for those in need. To date, JHE has participated in 18 events, completing more than 160 hours of service with 59 volunteers.

For instance, JHE provided an audio system, tables, linens and centerpieces for the Youth Commission International Clay Shoot; participated in the “World’s Largest Truck Convoy” to help raise money and awareness for the Special Olympics; and organized a field day for over 50 kids from the Cabarrus County Boys & Girls Club.

“We all feel very grateful to be giving back to such an incredible group of nonprofit organizations” says Michael Verlatti, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at JHE. “Our team continues to rally and come together to support each other as well as others, making a noticeable impression on our community.”
