Experiential Operations Manager

The Experiential Operations Manager is responsible for planning, managing and executing experiential activations with new and existing clients. The manager is also the lead point of contact with clients.  Will delegate roles and responsibilities to the event staff as needed for the project.  The primary responsibilities include the conception, creation and transportation of an experiential activation, as well as managing all budgets associated with the activation. The Experiential Manager also provides secondary assistance to other Experiential Operation Managers and departments needed.

Essential Duties:

Pre-event planning

  • Creation and implementation of budgets for each event activation
  • Creating detailed timelines for team members, vendors and clients
  • Conducting venue and vendor research
  • Creating presentations and proposals for the layout of the event
  • Conceptualize and manage artwork design and production
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, vendors and other CSM departments
  • Partner with appropriate departments to determine technical and logistical/operation needs for event activations based on client needs
  • Prepping activation materials, partnering with logistics and operations for deployment
  • Inventory asset management

On-site event management

  • Assisting with the set up and tear down of event activation
  • Coordinating with different departments to ensure successful execution of event activation

Loading/Unloading (tie down load, safe loading procedures

Traveling to and from event site

Other duties as assigned



  • General Knowledge of A/V/L production equipment
  • Active listening skills – giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at in appropriate times
  • Skilled in communicating with a wide degree of types of people and departments
  • Critical thinking skills– Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Skilled in coordinating and advising others
  • Skilled in making cost-conscious decisions based on company’s budget and the vendor/contract budgets
  • MS office suite skills
  • Creative thinking skills– ability to take client concepts and work with creative in order to produce an event activation in order to serve client needs
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others (such as clients, vendors, project managers and internal employees), and maintaining them over time
  • Ability to communicate technical information in speaking so others understand
  • Ability to supervise a crew of 1 to 10 people
  • Ability to negotiate contracts with clients and vendors
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the operations, logistics, and technical production staff
  • Ability to learn new computer software easily
  • Ability to work on multiple events at one time and to handle frequent interruptions while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to adapt to new people, demands, and environments
  • Ability to travel up to 65% of the time
  • Ability to use power tools and operate forklifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Some college required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2 years of event production or event management required, 5 years’ experience preferred
